I developed this competency in my reflection on developing expertise. In this reflection, I examined my problem-finding and problem-solving performance on three case studies. I reflected on how my analyses demonstrated characters reminiscent of novice or expert instructional designers. For example, I demonstrated improvements regarding differentiating between ID challenges and case constraints and highlighting connections between issues. However, I struggled with other aspects of expertise, such as focusing on features instead of principles and identifying relationships between my proposed solutions.

Based on the areas of expertise that I struggled with in these case analyses, I created a plan to move toward more expert-like performance. For example, in order to emphasize principles rather than features, I aim to intentionally seek relevant research and theories/frameworks when conceptualizing ID problems.

Along with my reflection on developing expertise, I have demonstrated a commitment to ongoing professional development by becoming a Google Certified Educator (Level 1). Earning this certification required me to develop proficiency in using various Google tools for educational purposes. Some tools I added to my tool kit are Google Sites and Google Classroom.
